Lately, the news leaves me wondering, where’s our wisdom? We’re human beings. We are built to be wise. We are endowed with a tremendous capacity for intelligent use of our intelligence. The wisdom required for managing and stewarding our planet Earth is entirely up to us. We’re the only species who’s got it.

Genuine happiness and the joy it engenders really only arise from our connection to the transcendent. Any other kind of happiness is a sloppy second, a half-happiness, a false joy. The happiness and joy we are hard-wired to deeply long for, is found in the transcendent dimension of life.
Everyone wants to be happy. That’s pretty universal. But we all appear to be confused about it. We’re confused about how to find happiness, how to keep it when we do, why it’s so elusive, where it comes from and why we lose it. We don’t understand why it’s so hard to be happy, to be genuinely happy.
