Back Street in Besançon
Don’t remember the name of this street, a few blocks away from my apartment and the River Doubs, which lassoed the entire town of Besançon in the loop of its horseshoe shape.

Here’s my tattered street map of Besançon. I lived on Rue de Battant, near the red X.
The blue, of course, shows the River Doubs. The university was in the center of town, inside the horseshoe. The river was beautiful, not for the river itself, but for the old Europe architecture that lined it on either side. |

This picture was taken in August, shortly after I arrived in Besancon.
This bridge led to my apartment on Rue de Battant. I crossed this bridge every day to get to school. On my way home, I stopped at any number of small markets -- one for bread, one for produce, another for meat and cheese.
The following time I learn a blog, I hope that it doesnt disappoint me as a lot as this one.
